Star-Lord (T'Challa) is an alternate reality version of the Marvel character featured in the Disney+ animated series, What If...?. He first appeared in the episode "What If... T'Challa Became a Star-Lord?" which was released in 2021.
In this reality, instead of Peter Quill being abducted by Yondu Udonta and the Ravagers, it was a young T'Challa of Wakanda who was mistakenly taken from Earth. He was taken away instead of Quill because the coordinates to Quill had changed.
Raised among the Ravagers, T'Challa embraces the Star-Lord persona, but his methods differ significantly from Quill's. He uses his strategic mind and inherent goodness to reform the Ravagers, turning them into a force for good across the galaxy. He is portrayed as a charismatic leader and a skilled tactician.
